The kit of raising of
ladybirds Adalia Box is an educational tool of education in the nature.
Ages: From accompanied 3 years and 8
years only.
Its goal is to
sensitize the children and their parents in the world fascinating of the
insects. The kit educational of raising of ladybirds Adalia Boxcalf will allow
them to discover during about twenty days that hard raising, the cycle of life
of the ladybirds and to understand the role that they play in the nature.
The ladybirds who are raised
in this kit belong to the european indigenous species Adalia bipunctata, the
ladybird to two points.
How it works: Since the acquirement
of the kit, the customer sends to Horpi Systems the card of order that will
allow him to receive the young larvas of ladybirds and food. While waiting for
the receipt of the packet, he will be able to, thanks to the explanatory
prospectus, to familiarize himself with the procédure of raising and
the biologic and ecological features of the ladybird Adalia bipunctata.
The Adalia Box comprises:
- a vivarium as a
box in plastic
- an explanatory prospectus understanding some instructions
to carry through raising and of the general information on the ladybirds
- a poster with an illustration of the different stages of the cycle of life
of the ladybird. It contains a calendar to daily slots permitting the enrollment of
the remarks and observations
- a card of order numbered and an envelope to receive the
larvas of ladybirds and food
Stage 1: since the acquirement
of the kit, the customer sends us the card answer that will allow him to receive
a containing box the larvas of ladybirds, food for the ladybirds and a protocol
of feeding. While waiting for the receipt of the packet, he will be able to,
thanks to the booklet, to familiarize himself with the procedure of
raising and the biologic and ecological features of the ladybird Adalia
bipunctata.
Stage 2:
Once the larvas of received ladybirds, the transfer in the box of raising and
to feed them with the provided food.
Stage 3: Observe the larvas slough and
enlarge. Feed them every 2 days.
Stage 4: The
larva sloughs three times before the stage of chrysalide. To the stage of the chrysalis,
the larvas leaves shriveled up on themselves and their skin is going to harden.
More to feed and not to touch the chrysalis. This stage lasts about 5 days.
Stage 5: The adult comes then
out of the chrysalis and has a yellow color without point. At the end of some
hours, the stains appear.
Stage 6: To the adult state,
the customer can release the ladybirds in the nature, while putting them on
plants infested of aphids.
