GARGANTUA according to RABELAIS. Double CD. With:
PHILIPPE NOIRET, JACQUES VILLERET, HENRI VIRLOJEUX, MARTHE MERCADIER, BERNARD
HALLER.
It is without doubts with eyes and child's ears that it
is necessary today to plunge itself/themselves in the incredible adventures of
Gargantua. To the hero's picture, so big. he/it is gigantic! ., so gluttonous,
so badly elevated, so naive sometimes, so unlikely in his/her/its reasons,
laughing of a laughter so enormous. all is filled of excessiveness. And this
excessiveness is exactly the one of the look of the children. It is why to look
at the world with the eyes of Gargantua is not again today vain.
It is not that a simple entertainment come back of the
past, but it is an exercise to become big, and why not Gigantic, that is to say
free to choose, to like and to believe in his/her/its manner, and no as one of
these sheep of the main Panurge. To listen to Gargantua, it is to be armed to
fight again today this "estrange obscurity" that doesn't stop coming back.
Philippe Noiret, Henri Virlogeux, Jacques Villeret,
Bernard Haller seizes the words of Rabelais. By turns, they are brûlots, tough,
tender, devastating, impious, comical. and all make take out again the absurdity
of which one would like to feed us. Only one thing counts: to make shine the
gleams of the knowledge and the necessary quest of the truth finally thanks to
this vivid resonant production, regrouping about thirty actors and musicians.
